Director General Dr. Alexander Labak
Alexander Labak was born on 18 September 1962 in Vienna and grew up in Tyrol. He returned to Vienna for his studies in business, finishing with a master's degree in 1986 and receiving a doctorate in business two years later. After that Alexander Labak went to the USA, where he completed further studies at the Wharton School in Philadelphia in 1990.
His professional posts have taken Labak all over Europe. He began at Henkel CEE in Vienna, then followed the call to Johnson & Johnson and to Foundation Health Systems and Deutsche Bank. From there he continued on to Mastercard, where he became president of European operations. Additional posts included the Dutch company HomeCredit and Domestic & General in London. Labak was recently employed at Apollo Global Management in London.
Labak joined the management board of Casinos Austria AG on 1 June 2017 and took over the position of director general there on 1 July. He was simultaneously appointed to the management board of Österreichische Lotterien and took over there as chairman.
Alexander Labak is married and the father of two; he is fond of opera and theatre and likes to go skiing and mountain-biking.
Member Mag. Bettina Glatz-Kremsner
Mag. Bettina Glatz-Kremsner studied commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She started her professional career at Austrian Lotteries shortly after graduation and became CEO of the Hungarian subsidiary 'Lotto Union'. Lotto Union conducted the Austrian Lotto '6 out of 45' on a schilling basis with pooled stakes in Hungary. This joint venture with the Hungarian National Savings Bank was the first commitment abroad of Austrian Lotteries and lasted until 1996.
Following that, Glatz-Kremsner became an assistant to the Managing Board of Casinos Austria AG and deputy head of the staff department Executive Secretariat & Controlling of Austrian Lotteries. From 2000 to 2003, Mag. Glatz-Kremsner was coordinator for synergies between Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries and subsequently became head of the staff department Synergies in both companies. In 2006, Mag. Glatz-Kremsner was appointed to the Managing Board of Austrian Lotteries and as CFO has also sat on the Managing Board of Casinos Austria since 2010 and Casinos Austria International Holding in 2011. From December 2013 she changed to the supervisory board of Casinos Austria International Holding. Since January 2016 Bettina Glatz-Kremsner officiates as President of the Supervisory Board of EVN AG.
Furthermore, in January 2013 Bettina Glatz-Kremsner was nominated as Honorary Consul for Hungary (Vienna and Lower Austria). Moreover, she is member of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Wien AG.
Bettina Glatz-Kremsner also holds the position of Deputy Chairman of Bundestheater Holding GmbH (Austrian limited liability theatre company) and Niederösterreichische Kulturwirtschaft (Lower Austrian limited liability company involved in the creative arts industry). This area of activity is especially compatible with her personal passion for the theatre.
In April 2015, Bettina Glatz-Kremsner received a Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria. The Silver Commander’s Cross Decoration of Honour for services to the Austrian province of Lower Austria followed in October 2016.
