Lotteries Days

Be it a visit to a museum, the theatre or the zoos – Austrian Lotteries has made it possible to visit Austria’s top cultural institutions for free for over 10 years.

Even if the lottery ticket or the scratch-off ticket didn’t yield the coveted main prize, tens of thousands of Austrian Lotteries players already know that a supposed “dud” will turn into a winner by the next Lotteries Day at the latest; that’s when it can open the doors to the most popular art and cultural institutions in the country. The Lotteries Days have been taking place since 2010. With over 110 events and over 135,000 visitors, they have become a popular fixture in the calendars of Austrian Lotteries’ cooperation partners and players. They also do their part in addressing a major concern of Austrian Lotteries, which is to make art and culture freely accessible to people who might otherwise find it difficult to afford an entrance ticket.
 
Part of the ticket contingent is made available to charitable institutions and, where possible, tours are offered in simplified language as well as for the blind and visually impaired, the deaf and people with dementia.
