Lotteries Day at the Kunsthaus Graz
Austrian Lotteries invites you to enjoy the “30% Löwenzahn (Dandelion)” exhibition on Sunday, May 24.
The Kunsthaus Graz is part of the Universalmuseum Joanneum and has been considered an architectural landmark of the city of Graz since it was constructed in 2003. On Sunday, May 24, it’s time for another Lotteries Day, and that means that anyone who visits the Kunsthaus Graz on that day between 10:00 and 18:00 with any ticket for an Austrian Lotteries game – be it a scratch-off ticket, a break-open ticket or a receipt for any lottery ticket for games such as Lotto or EuroMillions – will be granted free admission.
As part of Lotteries Day, the Kunsthaus Graz offers free introductory tours of the building and the current “30% Löwenzahn (Dandelion)” exhibition at 11:00, 14:00 and 15:30. The exhibition is based on the astounding insight that humans share no less than 30% of their genetic material with plants. The dandelion is seen as a botanical, cultural and aesthetic symbol: unassuming, resilient and, at the same time... imbued with astonishing poetic power.
The group exhibition, curated by Katrin Bucher Trantow and Andreja Hribernik, combines over 35 artistic works and items on loan from the collections of the Universalmuseum Joanneum.
