The tension is mounting: Austria is eagerly awaiting the European Table Tennis Championships in Linz from October 15 to 20. Some 300 players from around 50 nations will be competing in the TipsArena. Their high-level sports performances will be putting Upper Austria in the spotlight.
The Austrian Table Tennis Association (ÖTTV) team will head into this major event with excellent memories of the last European Championships in Munich in 2022. “There’s a great deal of anticipation. We won two gold medals, one silver and one bronze and even came first in the national rankings. That was an incredible moment,” President Wolfgang Gotschke recalls while he dreams of being able to celebrate winning those same medals at the European Championships in Austria.
