Austrian Lotteries is in cooperation with the "PCs für alle" ("PCs for Everyone") association.

Austrian Lotteries will not dispose of out-of-date IT hardware. Instead, it will be given a second life and made available to the "PCs für alle" ("PCs for Everyone") association, which will in turn hand over the perfectly functioning, reconditioned devices to people who may urgently need them: pupils from lower-income households, young people in apprenticeship training and currently war refugees from Ukraine.

This cooperation was initiated by two Austrian Lotteries' employees who learned about the initiative by watching a TV report. About 150 PCs and 250 laptops, 300 monitors as well as beamers and other accessories have been delivered so far. Another large delivery is due at the end of the year.
The activity of the "PCs für alle" association represents a significant improvement regarding digital opportunities for people in dire financial straits. Another benefit is that, since the founding of the association, around 200 tonnes of electronic waste have been avoided, as the association's founder Peter Bernscherer explains.
