The Cabaret Talent Show heads into a new season

Austrian Lotteries and the Vienna Cabaret Festival will once again give up-and-coming talents a chance in 2026. The application and audience registration processes are now open.

Are you funny, biting, satirical? You’re full of dark humour, you have a certain way with words? Fearless when performing in front of an audience? Do you have a fervent desire to take the stage by storm? If this describes you, then the Cabaret Talent Show is just the thing for you.
With the Cabaret Talent Show, Austrian Lotteries together with the Vienna Cabaret Festival is once again offering up-and-coming young talents a stage to prove themselves and take their first steps into the world of cabaret.

On June 2 and 3, seven up-and-coming performers will have an opportunity to showcase their cabaret skills at the Mirage Vienna. Anyone interested should apply by Thursday, April 30, 2026; full details can be found at www.wienerkabarettfestival.at/talente-show/. If you’d like to be in the audience, you can get your name added to the guest list free of charge. All you need to do is send an e-mail stating your name, the number of people and your preferred date (June 2 or 3) to fischer@leforoberbauer.at .

Six emerging cabaret artists will ultimately have a chance to perform as the opening act at the Vienna Cabaret Festival, which takes place from July 25 to August 1 in the Arkadenhof of Vienna City Hall, where they will share the stage with established artists from the cabaret scene and entertain up to 1,400 guests each evening.
