Paralympics team cleans up in Beijing

The Austrian team is returning from the XIII Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing with a sensational haul of no less than 13 medals. Five gold, five silver and three bronze medals also mean an excellent 6th place in the overall medal ranking. Johannes Aigner delivered a truly impressive ski show: all by himself, he garnered two gold and two silver medals as well as one bronze medal. The impressive successes of Veronika Aigner (two gold medals), Carina Edlinger (gold and bronze), Markus Salcher (two times silver) and Barbara Aigner (silver and bronze) complete the Austrian team's tally of medals.
