Free admission to the Vienna Technical Museum with a lottery ticket
Friday, May 16 is another Lotteries Day. The new permanent exhibition “Materialwelten” (“Material Worlds”) gives an insight into what our world is made of.
Be it wood, glass, concrete, silicon or rubber – every material we encounter in our everyday lives tells a story of resources, raw materials, craftsmanship and high technology. The “Materialwelten” exhibition is dedicated to these stories – and invites visitors on a journey through the past, present and future of our materials.
Thirteen themed islands demonstrate how materials – ranging from aluminium, concrete and plastic to rare earths and steel – are extracted and manufactured, and the machine wall illustrates how materials are shaped.
Anyone who comes to the Vienna Technical Museum on May 16 between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm with an Austrian Lotteries ticket, such as a Lotto, Toto, EuroMillions or EuroDreams ticket or a break-¬¬open or scratch-off ticket, will receive free admission.
Free guided tours are available at 10:15 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
