FESTIVAL OF VIENNA SPORTS STARS: AUSTRIAN LOTTERIES CONGRATULATES THE WINNERS

Vienna’s athletes were honoured for their individual and team achievements in seven categories at the Festival of Vienna’s Sports Stars on Wednesday evening.  

As a long-standing partner, Austrian Lotteries warmly congratulates Vienna’s athletes who received their awards in the arcade courtyard of Vienna’s City Hall. Austrian Lotteries once again took on the patronage for the “Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability” category in 2023.  

Erwin van Lambaart, Director General of Austrian Lotteries, had this to say: “We’ve been assuming socio-political responsibility for decades as part of our sports sponsorship activities, and we put the people at the centre of all this. We’re pleased to be able to bring so many successful athletes onto the stage and present them with awards in the ‘Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability’ category.” 

In line with the motto “Playsponsible – Practicing Responsibility Together”, Austrian Lotteries promotes equal opportunities and a respectful interaction with each other. Sportpool Wien has been supported within the Group since 2010. The focus of our collaboration has remained the same throughout the years: to establish an inclusive society distinguished by respect and acceptance. A society in which sports will be a driving force once again.
