Austrian Lotteries and seven other countries will launch this new betting slip game with draws on Monday and Thursday at the end of October 2023.

“Live your EuroDreams” is the motto as of Monday, October 30, referring to the new game whose main prize of 20,000 euros net per month, for 30 years, gives participants a chance to live “the best version of their life”.

Austrian Lotteries, together with other countries traditionally participating in EuroMillions – France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland – are launching EuroDreams, a completely new betting game. What differentiates it from all other betting games with regard to the first two prize tiers is that it offers monthly instalments over time instead of a one-off million-euro grand prize.

Eurodreams will have two draws per week, on Monday and Thursday, with the first draw taking place on Monday, November 6. Sales for the first draw start as soon as Monday, October 30.

“Give the customers what they wish”

“Our market research has shown that the wishes and expectations of our game participants continue to change, and it has become clear that monthly payouts in particular are very attractive. In times of high inflation and other crises, many people long for stability and financial independence. With EuroDreams’ prizes, we aim to fulfil these wishes,” says Erwin van Lambaart, Director General of Austrian Lotteries, as he looks forward to this new game.

Board Director Martin Skopek added: “I’m absolutely sure that EuroDreams is exactly the right product to bring to the market right now. More than two thirds of respondents found prizes paid as monthly instalments to be particularly interesting and attractive. We’ve had a great experience with the scratch-off tickets in our range, which also offer monthly instalments as a main prize. With EuroDreams, we can now offer prizes on a scale that is only made possible by participating in an internationally pooled game.”

Prizes:

There are six prize tiers in total, with the “dream number” only being significant in the first winning tier.

The second prize tier is “6 correct picks”, in which case a lucky winner will take home 2,000 euros a month over a period of five years*). The odds of winning are 1:4,797,975.

Prize tiers three, four and five correspond to 5 correct picks, 4 correct picks and 3 correct picks respectively and are based on the pari-mutuel principle:  the amount of the prize depends on the number of picks played as well as the number of winners in the respective prize tier. In the sixth prize tier (2 correct picks) there is a fixed pay-out of 2.50 euros.

The payout is 52 percent of turnover, while the odds of winning any prize at all are 1:4.66.

*) According to the terms and conditions, the monthly instalment payment applies to a maximum of three winnings in the first prize tier. If there are more than three winners in the round, the total prize sum of 21.6 million euros (= sum of 20,000 euros times 360 months times 3 winners) is divided among the number of winners in the first prize tier, and the sum is paid out as a one-time payment.
In the second prize tier, the monthly instalment payment applies to a maximum of twelve winners. If there are more than twelve winners, the total prize sum of 1.44 million euros (= sum of 2,000 euros times 60 months times 12 winners) is divided among the number of winners in the second prize tier, and the sum is paid out as a one-time payment.
