Austria’s Paralympic team has excellent chances of winning

Starting on March 6, over 650 athletes with physical disabilities will be competing to win the gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Austria’s Olympic athletes held their own at the Olympic Games in Milan Cortina, scoring wins at all three medal tiers. Now the time has come for the Paralympic athletes to take centre stage, and they can hardly wait for their turn: from March 6 to 15, they will take to the sports facilities in Milan and Cortina and compete for gold, silver and bronze medals at the XIV Winter Paralympics.

The Austrian team, consisting of around 20 athletes, stands a good chance of taking home the coveted medals. Over 650 athletes with physical disabilities from 50 nations are expected to battle it out for the precious medals in 79 events across six sports disciplines at the Winter Paralympics.
