Austrian Lotteries celebrated 43 millionaires

2025 enters the history books as the year of 485 top prizes, 43 millionaires, and a record-breaking 250 million-euro win in EuroMillions.

Every year, there’s something special, something unique happening at Austrian Lotteries. In 2025, that was the case in the online sector: in December, shortly after the win2day jackpot passed the million-euro mark for the first time ever, when a win2day user took home a prize of exactly 1,056,156.08 euros.

The first bombshell dropped in March, and it’s a superlative for the annals of the gaming world. A win2day user won the maximum EuroMillions prize of 250 million euros with 5 plus 2 correct picks – the highest amount ever won in all of Europe.

A total of 485 players enjoyed a top prize (at least 100,000 euros) last year, with 43 of them even winning a million or more. In addition to the 250 million-euro win, it is also worth mentioning the 9.7 million euros won by a man from Upper Austria with six correct picks after a sevenfold lottery jackpot in August. He was the only winner at this tier, and so he didn’t have to share the winnings.
