More than 11 million entries, roughly four times the volume of a regular draw, will need to be submitted by Sunday at 7:00 p.m. for the jackpot prize to reach €12 million. Experience has shown that new milestones hold a special appeal for lottery players, so Austrian Lotteries remains optimistic.
By Friday lunchtime, 4.7 million entries had already been submitted. The busiest periods, with up to 200 entries per second, are still expected to come on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
A single winning ticket worth €12 million would secure second place in the ranking of the highest Lotto prizes ever won in Austria.

Most Lotto winners in Austria tend to be practical. When speaking with Austrian Lotteries' jackpot advisors, many say that their first priority is improving their living situation: owning instead of renting, moving from an apartment into a house, or buying a second home in the countryside.

Most entries currently being submitted are Quick Tips.
For large jackpots, Quick Tips account for around 55% of all entries, making them by far the most popular way to play. Around 35% are submitted as standard entries, where players choose their own numbers, while 10% are system entries.
Interestingly, this exact distribution can also be seen in the 96 jackpot-winning tickets that followed five-fold, six-fold and seven-fold jackpots: 53 were Quick Tips, 34 were standard entries and 9 were system entries.
Because in the end, it is not the type of entry that matters, but the number of entries played.
With a single entry, the chance of winning the jackpot is roughly 1 in 8 million. A second entry doubles those chances to around 1 in 4 million.
