WINWIN
Launched in 2004, WINWIN with it’s motto “Have it all!” is a cooperation between Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries offering top gaming entertainment and Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) in various locations throughout Austria.

WINWIN outlets are meeting places for fun-loving, entertainment-minded people who love going out and enjoy gaming. Open to visitors over the age of 18, the locations offer state-of the-art Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), a stylish ambiance, good food at reasonable prices, highly-trained staff and regular special events with live music and entertainment.

WINWIN successfully combines Casinos Austria’s extensive know-how from the gaming and food and beverage sectors with Austrian Lotteries trend-setting approach and experience in innovative media and technology.

The video lottery terminals offer electronic lotteries, which under sec. 12a of the Austrian Games of Chance Act are defined as gaming contracts entered into via electronic media. The decision about winning or losing is brought about centrally. The player is informed of the result immediately after playing.

The WINWIN Concept
With their combination of gaming, entertainment and hospitality, the VLT locations are aimed at fun-loving, entertainment-minded people who enjoy going out.

The outlets are open 364 days a year (closed only on Christmas Eve) from the afternoon hours to midnight. Admission is free. There is no dress code.

WINWIN outlets are located in design-oriented and trendy settings. The underlying concept aims at blurring the boundaries between the gaming and catering areas. Apart from drinks, the bars also offer high-quality snacks and prompt service.

WINWIN outlets complement the local or regional range of leisure and tourist amenities and add value to the leisure time experience of local residents and vacationers alike.

WINWIN also creates jobs for qualified staff and provides a reliable alternative to low-wager slot machines, casinos in border regions and illegal gaming.

The Product Range
Video Lottery Terminals may look like classic slot machines in casinos, but the technology and gaming mechanisms are quite different. Whilst in conventional slot machines, the individual machine determines the outcome of a wager independently with its own random generator, this is decided for VLTs by the random generator on a central computer, with the winning chances and the distribution of winnings having already been determined a priori, based on set odds and payout limits. The central computer then sends the results to the individual terminals via telecommunication channels.

Each location is equipped with 50 to 150 terminals, each offering up to 45 different games. VLTs can be played from as little as 1 cent and the maximum wager is 15 euro. Money is wagered by means of tickets or bills and coins are not accepted.

If a player wins, the terminal prints out a ticket which can either be redeemed from the cashier in cash or as a check or transferred to a bank account. There are maximum possible winnings of 25,000 euro.
